Happy love day..

Have you heard of it before? Is it same as valentines day? Is it something that two love birds came up with? Well.. nope!

We all are currently in different state of lives where corona is ruling over what and how we do things in our day. We as a parent are trying to be creative to keep our kids busy and entertained. We are searching for so many online tools to keep them busy. Hundreds of ideas are already on social media that we are trying to use to keep the LO busy..nothing wrong in that..of course that has been the primary goal these days.

But guess what these LO also silently watching everything..they know everything around is so tough..by now they understand states, countries, continents and hence they understand how big is this pandemic is..

While we are trying to figure out how can we possibly spend a day with so many restrictions and still keeping the happiness blooming..here is what my LO came up with to keep the whole family excited and happy for a day she planned for us..

In the morning 8am around she came to me and said mumma I have planned a day for us and we are going to do exactly as I say to enjoy the every moment of it..I asked her what exactly we are going to do? She came close to me, kissed on my cheeks n said mumma I love you and our family the most so we are going to celebrate “Happy love day” on this March 19th..yes somehow she knew the date n I didn’t 😉

I said wow that’s sounds exciting.. she was happy to see that she convinced me on her idea.. she declared to every family member me, her dad, grand parents and her little baby brother that we all going wear red today, we are only going to be in happy mood, nobody is going to be angry 😉 and the celebration time is evening 5pm..she said I’m going to tell papa finish your work faster today as no work allowed in evening!!

This all excitement took us through lunch as she kept talking about it all the time. Around afternoon we got busy in work/chores whereas she started working with her grandma deciding the menu for celebrations, arrangements on the table and agenda of the event…

Around 5o’clock everyone got into red attire, for baby brother she selected mix n match to match the theme n it turned out so damn cute.. as I stepped into family room I saw there were few games were arranged which were very new and creative ones which she and grandma had decided to play on that lovely day.. she made a fancy announcement to all family members to join the game.. we all played games with partners she chose..we laughed, tried to cheat, tried to alter the rules just the fun stuff we do when we play games in a big group :/..she announced winner and invited us to dining room for a perfect menu which was a fresh snack made by grandma and a scoop of ice cream.. yumm

As I was munching the ice cream bite I was thinking how beautiful this love day has been where 5yr LO is showering love on family without any fancy tools, decorations or goodies..The only prop she used was her unconditional love gelling with her developing mind!

We clapped and hugged her and said thank you for such wonderful arrangements thinking it was concluded with a dessert. But nope she said the party is not over yet..we have to take a family photoo saying that her eyes twinkled and our heart smiled. We went to a family room, grandma held baby brother, she hugged mumma papa n we captured a selfie we’ll cherish forever! She declared we will celebrate March 19 as happy love day every year 🙂

The shelter in place ordered an extra love when we need it the most…
